One remedy that has been tried is beer for hair. While there is a lack of clinical evidence to support the claim that beer can benefit your hair when ingested or applied topically with a rinse, many sources cite potential benefits of beer, according to Healthline.

“Your hair, over time, will accumulate oils and dirt,” Welter said.
When you have more oil and dirt in your hair, it will become frizzy and greasy, signaling that it’s time to wash, he also said.
Welter suggested rinsing and repeating with hair washing to ensure the scalp is clean.
“Now, the other caveat to this is that if you wash your hair too much, your scalp can become dry or too oily,” he said.
“If it’s too oily, you can get pustules or pimples on the scalp. If it’s too dry, you’ll have flakes and dandruff and things like that. So the amount of times a week you wash your hair should really depend on your scalp.”
As long as you should leave the beer in your hair, five or so minutes should do it.
“Generally, when you do a conditioner, you have to leave the conditioner in your hair… usually, at least five minutes to get it to bond with the keratin and stick to all the areas where it’s going to stick. Then it’s a light rinse and you’re done,” Welter said.
