Everything is in a pickle.
Jimmy John’s has unveiled its latest menu item that pickle lovers everywhere are sure to enjoy.
On October 24, the restaurant announced the Picklewich, an innovation that combines their signature sandwiches with fan favorite Jimmy Pickles.
As the name suggests, Picklewich is a sandwich that uses pickles instead of bread.
The Picklewich will be available to customers nationwide starting October 28 through November 14 in two options, both featuring typical sub-ingredients inside a giant hollowed-out dill pickle.
The Vito Picklewich features salami, capocollo and provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, oregano-basil and oil and vinegar – just like their classic Vito sandwich.
The turkey picklewich has turkey, provolone, lettuce and tomato.
And to pair with the pickle sandwiches, Jimmy John’s is bringing back the fan-favorite Pickle Jimmy Chips, pickle-flavored fries.
To celebrate, the brand teamed up with the pickle queen, or pickle witch, better known as Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, for a new video.
“I love pickles – they’re my thing. And a pickle sandwich? A dream come true. It’s like Jimmy John made the new Picklewich just for me!” Snooki said in a statement. “Vito Picklewich is my favorite. But if you’re a pickle lover, you have to try them both!”
Rewards customers can get the new Picklewich 50% off on National Sandwich Day, November 3, when they buy any 8-inch sandwich.
If you’re not a fan of pickles, customers can still participate in National Sandwich Day by ordering an 8-inch sandwich and making it a free combo anytime after 2 p.m.
Jimmy John’s isn’t the only sandwich jumping on the pickle craze.
New York local gourmet deli Seven Brothers in Oceanside, Long Island, has been making pickle sandwiches since January and went viral this summer thanks to TikTok. The deli sells about 250 of them a day.
